MX 7 and Spectra

Hi All,

I hope there are still people on this list :)

We are hoping to run our highly modified version of Spectra 1.5.1 on MX
7.

We will be using the security model included in The Spectra OS release
so there is no dependency on Advanced Security.

We will at a later point back port Spectra OS release into our modified
1.5.1 installation to clear up any bug fixes of performance
enhancements.

So the question is: does anyone know of any fundamental show stoppers
that will prevent us from running 1.5 1 (with new securty model) on MX7?

Thanks,

Adam Hope

I think the only thing that I have got stumped by is the isAuthenticated()
function which I need to write out of my app. Its an even older version
hence the problem

We're running several Spectra apps on CF7.  Nothing springs to mind as
a major stumbling block to getting Spectra going on blackstone.

Thanks for the feedback. It looks like we're going to suck it and see.

I really wish 'they' would have let us move to FC but its always the
people making the decisions that can't see the wood for the trees.

Adam.

Once the FarCry 2.4 (codename: Glamour) goes live it might be worth
having another crack at the suits.

Well there is always a choice, just sometimes the people with the decisions
cant see that (typical non-technical managers).

Sure there is a choice, but it belongs to the customer (or whomever is
paying for it). If the current system is meeting their current and
near-future needs then it isn't always easy to convince them to migrate to
something else.
