MUC Invites Not working..

I hope I am not spamming the mailing list I am not sure if this is getting
posted.

Everyone,

Hey I am having trouble getting multi user chat invites to work.  I
have setup wildfire as my server and I have setup two client windows
computers. It seems that when one user creates a public chat room and
sends an invite to other users, those other uses ever receive an
invite and I never get an error.

I also noticed something interesting.  If User A creates a public chat
room, then User B can see the chat room, but User A appears to be offline
in the chat room to User B.  User B can connect to the chat room, however
User A never see User B.  If  User A leaves the chat and returns then they
can see User B.  I am not sure if it's a configuration error or what is
the deal.
My jids are username@...  and when public chats are made
the users appear in username@....  Has anyone
come across this issue?  Does anyone have any suggestions..

Thanks In Advance..

Vince Cordaro

After some pain I managed to get Wildfire running on my LAN.
Invitations from a user A in a room to a user B should now work. Code in cvs.

Not sure what you mean here. I've tested this also with Wildfire and it works as expected.
The users in the groupchat users list show up as expected.
The disco users list works slightly differently since a user not in a room will only
see the JIDs in the room but will never get any presence from any of them.
This is by design. User A therefore seems to be offline in the rooms disco list as seen by B.
Note that a user A has a login JID but a (normally) completely different JID in the room
since rooms are semi-anonymous. User B can therefore not relate from its users
in the roster list to participants of a room.

The disco list doesn't get updated when something is changed. You need to right click
an item (the room) and select Update from the menu. If user A does this after user B
has entered, both A and B will show up in the rooms disco list.

Note sure if this resolves the issues.

Hope this helped,   Mats

PS: and thanks for the bug report which made me install Wildfire. Nice!

There is a link at the build page: http://coccinella.sourceforge.net/tclkits/
which contain tclkit build instructions of some detail. Look at the README files.
Let me say right away that the custom tclkit was the solution of two months struggle
when I was squeezed between a nasty windows socket code bug in post 8.4.1
and the tile theme package which required 8.4.6.
This "solution" is a real pain and eventually the socket bug MUST be resolved.
Perhaps it is time to push the maintainers about this.
Be also careful if building with latest tile. Not sure if the latest version is
backwards compatible.

Best Wishes,   Mats
