The problem exactly is the communication with the CAN driver. the
hardware itself when I test it, using the demos from Phytec, it is
working fine. But when I try to do it with Matlab the following error
pops up,

"Serial communication synchronisation faild No response for the
target alive byte was recived from the target, after 1000 retries
please check that your hardware target is configured correctly, and
the correct communication options have been selected."

After downloading using the Download control Panel.

It doesn't respond either to serial or CAN. Although all
configuration was set as indicated in your documentation.
The Demo that am try to download is from the help of Target for
Freescale MPC5xx which is: Tutorial 1: Building and Running a
processor-in-the-loop (PIL) cosimulation.

Please try to help ASAP.
Regards,
Amer

I haven't set one up with the Mathworks stuff in a while, but it
sounds as if the Matlab downloader is trying to talk to its
bootloader, and it's not able to.  Is that installed on the flash on
the MPC555, and are you resetting it/powering it up after starting the
download from Matlab?
