MNG in Gecko 1.9

Using a Gecko 1.9 build (SM2 or FF3), the MNG image on
http://pmw-warpzilla.sourceforge.net/ displays as a binary dump inside a
little area the size of the image.  Is that supposed to happen?  I would
have thought it would display mozilla_modern_throbber.png instead, if it
doesn't know how to handle the specified object type.

Using Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1a2pre)
Gecko/20080822010658 SeaMonkey/2.0a1pre I see a very small scrollable
(hor and vert) box that looks like it has a binary dump in it.

Regards

Pete

Looks like this is a cross-platform bug in Gecko 1.9.  With the Win32
SM112, I see the PNG, but with the Win32 FF301 I see raw data (no
scrollbars, though).  I guess I need to look for an existing bug, and
open one if I can't find one.

It probably has to do with the problem that the server sends the MNG as
text/plain. If you look at weilbacher.org/Mozilla/builds.html you do see
the fallback PNG.

The page info dialog lists the type as video/x-mng on both, although the
one that works says size 0, while the broken one says size unknown.
What you say makes sense, but I'm wondering why it worked in Gecko 1.8
and it doesn't now.

No idea where the page info gets its info from, maybe simply the file
extension? But wget -S clearly shows text/plain...

Actually, weird, now the server of my page also says text/plain about
    http://weilbacher.org/Mozilla/mozilla_modern_throbber.mng
Maybe I had overlooked that last time I tried.

Then what's the difference?
