To answer questions on FLAC: dvda-author can take FLAC-encoded streams as input. The current 2005 release of dvda-author has old FLAC source files in its own source. I'll be releasing the next version with FLAC libs instead of source files, to make it easier to integrate new FLAC releases.
On Multichannel : --without MLP encoding-- is next on my list, would be only too happy to speed up pace if other developpers joined in, as I said I've been slowed down by another project.
