I am curious to know , is there a way
to get the meta model of a java class from the existing source code?
Most of the MDA generators, load the
xmi form of the uml model and generate the code using templates and transformation
rules. ie, always start from the model.
But, practically, there may be some
classes, develper needs to add during the actual development. It is difficult
to control the process always starting from the model. In such situation,
I feel, it would be more good, if it is possible to upload the new java
class into the existing xmi .
Can MDR support this fucntionality?
Or Is it possible to create any form
of flat file representation of MOF model from an existing Java source code
? If so how?
