Lowering rear shock VX250

Hi guys,
Im looking to drop rear shock about 1.5- 2" on VX250, have seen some ppl use a shorter shock but they just didnt say what knind of shock was it. If you guys have any idea what kind of shocks should i be looking for pls let me know. Would Honda rebel shock fit on VX250, it seems to be abit shorter and might be ok to get the spring cut.

you could also use a plate to reposition the attachment location at the swing arm, up and back..

Just found out that relocating top mount will get about 1-1.5" drop but will get stiffer ride.
