Lenny upgrade from kde-3.5.8 to 3.5.9: kwin on a dual monitor system

After this upgrade, kwin is running only once, so my second (no xinerama)
monitor gives a very poor behaviour (no window decorations, not possible to
resize or move windows etc.)
After manually starting another instance of kwin everything is ok.
Any clues to fix this permanently?
