Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to use another remote to control
the rcx other than using the Lego-branded remote / Omniremote for Palm
/ or your computer.
Is there a way to use any LIRC-compliant remote to control the RCX?
I'm very new to LIRC so I'm not sure whether you can flash custom
firmware in the remote to set your own codes so you can control the
RCX later.
Through the computer, controlling the RCX was trivial. There's even a
project that allows users over the internet to control the RCX and
view at the same time.
I'm doing this because no one would just sell me the LEGO remote and I
figured there should be alternatives to using Palm powered devices to
control the RCX. It's only a matter of time. Thanks.
Vivek
