LIRC does not compile on Suse 11.0Hello,
I'am trying to compile lirc-0.8.3pre3 on 64 bit Suse 11.0 after configure I get the following configure: WARNING: Cache variable ac_cv_have_kernel contains a newline. and make throws an error Makefile:187: *** missing separator (Meinten Sie TAB anstelle von 8 Leerzeichen?). Schluss. Line 187 looks like this (the include line is the line 187) kernelcc = ERROR: Kernel configuration is invalid. include/linux/autoconf.h or include/config/auto.conf are missing. Run 'make oldconfig && make prepare' on kernel src to fix it. Any ideas? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW! Updated lirc packages are also available via the build service btw, e.g.: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/vdr/openSUSE_11.0/ cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW! Re: LIRC does not compile on Suse 11.0Hello,
ok I will try it. But why does recompile not work (I sometimes prefer do it myself) ? It has worked fine on Suse 10.3! As options I use TVCard/Haupauge, so I need the I2C kernel module. Thanks Reiner On Thu, Jul 3, 2008 at 9:22 AM, Ludwig Nussel <ludwig.nussel@...> wrote: > Reiner wrote: >> I'am trying to compile lirc-0.8.3pre3 on 64 bit Suse 11.0 > > openSUSE 11 ships with 0.8.3 final, why do you need a pre release? > > Updated lirc packages are also available via the build service btw, > e.g.: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/vdr/openSUSE_11.0/ > > cu > Ludwig > > -- > (o_ Ludwig Nussel > //\ > V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ > SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW! > Studies have shown that voting for your favorite open source project, > along with a healthy diet, reduces your potential for chronic lameness > and boredom. My crystal ball is broken ;-) > TVCard/Haupauge, so I need the I2C kernel module. That's included in the lirc-kmp package. cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW!
