I am setting up an LDAP server to handle authentication. I want to use
Samba to handle Windows machines. In terms of porting data, does it matter
whether I set up LDAP or Samba first?

LDAP should be set up first though Samba does have some migration
techniques

Samba has excellent docs...

http://www.samba.org/samba/docs

especially Samba 3 HowTo and By Example

be sure you check out this from By Example...

Do you know of anywhere that has sample LDAP Trees for account management in an organization? I have one thought out but would like to make sure I'm not missing anything as this is my first try at this. --- You are currently subscribed to ldap@... as: [lists@...] To unsubscribe send email to ldap-request@... with the word UNSUBSCRIBE as the SUBJECT of the message.
