LAM error message

When I attempt to make changes in LAM for users, I get the following error:

"Server is unwilling to perform"

What is wrong?  I assume it's a permissions setting somewhere, but I
don't know where.  Any ideas?

hi matt,

have a look at /var/log/syslog for more verbose error
messages - usually, they are quite descriptive. you
might have to crank up slapds loglevel setting
beforehand.

This can be done by setting "loglevel 256" in /etc/ldap/slapd.conf.

If you did not login with the admin/manager account then it could be a
rights issue. The ACLs for OpenLDAP are also set in slapd.conf.
