Knuth on libraries

Good day,

In "Mathematical Writing" by D. E. Knuth, T. Larrabee and P. M. Roberts,
paragraph 22, class of November 9, p. 47 in Notes by PMR:

        Don's secret delight, he confessed today, is to "play a library
        as if it were a musical instrument."  Using a resources of a great
        library to solve a specific problem---now, _that_, to him, is
        real living.
