Is it possible to use if in xforms:delete???

Hai all i am trying to delete multiple rows at a time from my code by writing <xforms:delete ev:event="DOMActivate" context="instance('main')" nodeset="employee" if="instance('main')/employee/select='true'"/> true value for select is assigned when i select a particular check box.I have written xforms:delete as shown above.but it always deleting the last element in the instance when a checkbox is selected.
