Importing UML into ProtegeHi all,
I am trying to import UML into Protege. I've installed the UML Backend into my Protege 3.3.1 plugins folder as per the directions at http://protege.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?UMLBackend. According to the documentation at http://protege.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?UMLBackendUsersGuide in order to import UML into Protege, I need to choose "Import ... " Well, I have no idea where the Import command is. I thought it would be under File or Project, but I don't see it. I believe the plugin is loaded as I see it in the command window and UML is an export option. Can anyone help? Much thanks Charity _______________________________________________ protege-owl mailing list protege-owl@... https://mailman.stanford.edu/mailman/listinfo/protege-owl Instructions for unsubscribing: http://protege.stanford.edu/doc/faq.html#01a.03 |

Re: Importing UML into ProtegeHi Charity,
I don't have any experience with this plug-in, so sorry in advance if my answer doesn't help. :) Try the following steps: 1). Create a new project in Protege by choosing File | New Project... 2). In the Create New Project dialog, choose Protege Files (.pont and .pins) and click Finish. 3). Then, choose File | Convert Project to Format... 4). In the resulting Select Format dialog, choose UML 1.4 Class Diagrams and click OK. 5). Now you should see a "UML 1.4 Class Diagrams" dialog where you can enter a name for your project and the location of the UML file you want to import. Enter this information and click OK. Re: Importing UML into ProtegeHi (again) Charity,
Now that I have had my late afternoon cup of coffee and my brain is functioning properly, here are the easier steps to use: 1). Select File | New Project... to bring up the Create New Project dialog box. 2). Choose the UML 1.4 Class Diagrams project type and check the "Create from Existing Sources" checkbox at the top of the dialog. 3). Click the Next button and see that you will be able to specify the location of your UML file here. :) Jennifer Jennifer Vendetti wrote: > Hi Charity, > > I don't have any experience with this plug-in, so sorry in advance if > my answer doesn't help. :) > > Try the following steps: > > 1).
