Check out Lightroom from Adobe. Resize, rename, color space, file type and other "batch" needs are setup in the export (save) part of the program. You can even save your settings as a templates for faster work.

Jim:

Expression Media will handle both of those tasks, and I believe that
Canto Cumulus and Extensis Portfolio have this feature as well.

There are many other features that should be considered when choosing
an image management program, and IMHO these two are usually not at
the top of my list.

You might find the "Comparitive Matrix" checklist at
(http://www.controlledvocabulary.com/imagedatabases/programs.html) of
some assistance in comparing several programs.

Hope that helps.

David

I used iviewMedia, 2 years ago I switched to Extensis Portfolio (now
8.5) currently I´m playing around with Lightroom. Extensis and
Lightroom can do batch resizing and rename. I guess I´ll go with
Lightroom in future, it`s more comfortable for me.
