If field includes function

My brain is not working properly today. I am sure I have seen some
FMP function which if a field contains a word or symbol then another
field can be set, but I cannot find it in the list.

I want to set a field to "email" if another field contains @

patterncount or maybe position sounds like what you're after.  Just  
browse through the function reference by category list in the online  
help.
