IS-1 various filtersI've been trying various different filters on my IS-1 lately, and
finally got around to doing a brief web writeup on the camera with some sample exposures. http://home.comcast.net/~joshputnam/photo/Fuji_IS1.html includes one scene re-shot with filters ranging from B+W041 orange to 950nm IR, and two quick samples of color shots with red & blue swapped. I'm pleasantly surprised with the results I get with the orange filter. It's not the same color scheme as false-color IR film, but it does differentiate various types of foliage. -- josh@... is Joshua Putnam <http://www.phred.org/~josh/> Updated Infrared Photography Gallery: <http://www.phred.org/~josh/photo/ir.html> * **** ******* ****************************************************** * To remove yourself from this list, send: * * UNSUBSCRIBE INFRARED * * to * * MAJORDOMO@... * *----------------------------------------------------* * For the IR-FAQ, IR-Gallery and heaps of links: * * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/mainpage.htm * ****************************************************** |

RE: IS-1 various filtersFacinating stuff Joshua.
Do you just attach the filters to the front of the camera? Is it set up for screw on filters, or is there a holder that attaches to the lens that holds the filter? It takes standard 58mm threaded filters -- fortunately a common size on eBay so it didn't cost an arm and a leg to get a good selection of filters. -- josh@... is Joshua Putnam <http://www.phred.org/~josh/> Updated Infrared Photography Gallery: <http://www.phred.org/~josh/photo/ir.html> * **** ******* ****************************************************** * To remove yourself from this list, send: * * UNSUBSCRIBE INFRARED * * to * * MAJORDOMO@... * *----------------------------------------------------* * For the IR-FAQ, IR-Gallery and heaps of links: * * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/mainpage.htm * ****************************************************** |
