Hi,
I have recently install RC118 MCE remote and it seems to work fine with following receiver.
lirc_mceusb2[2]: Formosa21 SnowflakeEmulation on usb3:2
I have installed Fedora core 8.
I created my /etc/lircd.conf using "irrecord" as mentioned in "Learn how to control eve r yone 's favourite XM M S w ith a TV remote". My /etc/lircd.conf looks something like this ---- begin remote
name MCE flags RAW_CODES eps 30 aeps 100
ptrail 500 repeat 0 0 gap
69850
begin raw_codes
name play 2650 850 400 400 400 400 400 850 450 850 1350 850 450 450 450 450 450 450 450 450 450
450 450 450 450 450 450 450 450 450 450 450 850 400 400 400 400 400 400 400 400 850 400 400 400 400 400
400 850 850 400 400 400 400 400 400 400 400 900 900 900 400 400 850 500
name stop 2750 800 500 500 500
500 500 800 500 800 1400 800 500 500 500 500 500 500 ----
Things work fine. However, when I use my remote to navigate a menu on freevo. I see that remote commands are slow. So to test the remote I started irw and I see that, if I press a button say "FWD" once. The command will be shown on irw, but now, if I press again, I don't see any command coming out from irw. Now again if I press FWD button, this time irw gets the command. So I think remote's slow response due to, we skipping every alternate command.
How I should avoid this ? and make sure
that I always keep getting commands from remote.
