How to run an existing project from within Java IDE

Hello everyone.
-I am new to Java.
-I downloaded all necessary files(JDK JRE..) and then NetBeans.
-I wrote down a simple Hello World application, with the IDE editor, run it right after I wrote it without any problem.
-I exited NetBeans
-When I get back to NetBeans,I could not find a way to run the application I wrote from the IDE.
-FYI,Java components and NetBeans are in C:\Program Files, also the directory named MyNetBeans which contains the project named HelloWorldApp.
-I guess that surely there is a way to do that from the IDE(This is the way I am running my applications written using Visual C++ under XP professional) instead of using the dreadful
DOS command line.
-What I am missing ?

Thanks in advance for any help .

You used the "Java Application" from the Wizard?

-Open the project in NetBeans, though your project should be be open
(if you didn't explicitly close the project).
- Now you can run it.
