Hosting Squeak Apps

Hi all,

I have a PIII Linux Box (a.k.a. Hefesto) at home (the fastest PIII I
ever seen), with 512MB (or 1GB, I don't remember lol), and 120GB of
HD., and I need it to test some web projects I need to develop, and I
want to develop it under Squeak.

I want to share this server as an initial service I want to provide,
free hosts for squeak applications. Something like seasidehosting.st,
but for Seaside and Aida.

At the moment, The server is reinstalled with Ubuntu Server (but can
change, I don't know), and I will install a no-ip service. I will
create accounts for all people who wants/needs an online hosting, but
with some conditions.

This server will only for tests. If I need, or something "crash" the
server, I will need to reinstall manually until I get some tools to
automatize the process. At the moment, the ADSL line will be a home
line, and probably will be slow, but, for tests, is good. Probably, in
some moment, I will need to shutdown the server, etc...

If somebody with Linux knowledge wants to help, I will appreciate the
effort.

In near future, I want to translate this to a Dedicate server, but
this costs me 125€ at month from a company in Murcia/Spain (support
will be 2 streets of my home) for a good server at France (doh!), and
if I do this, I will accept donations, for this, and my other projects.

I will posts news when have time about this, and my others projects.

At the moment, I only promote this here, because the idea is only in
plannning phase, althoug, the server is ready.

Cheers.
