Help with Ion turntable

This may not be an Audacity problem but I only get occasional success running Audacity with the ion. Sometimes, after a different amount of time each time, suddenly the music signal is replaced by white noise - which means abandoning the process and starting all over again. This does not happen every time : last night I converted two albums without problem, today the white noise has appeared at some point every time. Very frustrating. Can anyone help ?
