Which linuxwacom version are you using? Older ones don't support StripLUp event. Installing linuxwacom from the latest version will also resolve any possible dismatch between wacom-drv.so and xsetwacom.

Hi, for those who are interested, I solved my problem as follows. I
have gone through the source code of wacomcpl and I found out that the
"Smoothness" value in the Stylus -> Feel dialog, is actually called
RawSample by xsetwacom. So I wrote the following short bash script:

LOCK=/tmp/wacom_high_smoothness_lock

if [ -e $LOCK ]
then
echo "Setting low smoothness..."
xsetwacom set stylus RawSample 6
rm $LOCK
else
echo "Setting high smoothness..."
xsetwacom set stylus RawSample 20
touch $LOCK
fi

Then, I created a launcher for this in my gnome panel, and clicking
that I can quickly switch between low and high smoothness. Hope this
helps.

I'ld like to suggest the author to remove the confusion by changing
the RawSample label in xsetwacom to Smoothness.

RFC: allowing linuxwacom X driver to be loaded without configuration

First of all, this is a RFC: it's not complete yet.

I've been working in making the X wacom driver to work with the Xorg 1.5.1
hotplug scheme. I'm doing it by creating the devices needed when no Type
is specified (other way would be finding HAL unique option - "_source").
So far, all the devices are created and the stylus works, but not the
eraser. Also, I'm not handling removals yet. Notice that
NewInputDeviceRequest() needed to be reimplemented because it's not
exported on this Xorg version, but will be on the next.

I'm not sure yet how to retain configuration. Maybe something on
gnome/kde to use xsetwacom and the stored settings?

The patch is based on 0.8.0-3

PN15G firmware upload problems

I've had an issue with the wlan device ever since i bought it.
Essentially, it never works on startup. Every time i boot my machine i
have to replug the device 10's of times to get the firmware to load.
When it starts working it is 98% of the time very stable. This has been
a low priority issue for me because the machine was on 24/7 but now that
i would like to hibernate the machine this has become a showstopper.

Any ideas?
