I bought a waysmall 400xm-bt a couple
of weeks ago, and have been using and communicating with it successfully.
However, I was not getting any response from the bluetooth module. Following
various tips on this board, I tried a number of configuration setting changes
(by editing /etc/default/bluetooth) but nothing seemd to work. I then tried
disconnecting and re-seating the basix motherboard on the expansion board
via the 60-pin connector (with the power disconnected, of course). After
doing this, I no longer have any serial communications with the gumstix.
When I apply power, the green LED comes on and stays on, but I only get
two 'bad' characters out the serial port:
Then nothing happens. I have tried various serial connection settings from
my client (i.e. different bauds, parity settings etc.) with no luck. I
have also verified that the serial cable is still working.
Has anyone seen similar behavior? Can I assume there was some sort of hardware
failure?
Thanks,
Rob
