Gtk over DirectFB on a X window system

Hi All,

Can GTK over DirectFB be run on a X window system? I was able to run
DirectFB with X window but when i try to run GTK+ over DirectFB in a X
window system i am getting error that No layers are found! Missing
driver? from DirectFB.

What is the reason for this? Cant GTK over DirectFB be run on X window
platform on i686?
