Getting all single bounds of multiple selections

Hello,

i'm thinking about a better slicing plugin based on a addition layer with color informations.
I'd like to create the plugin with Python, but i'm not sure if it is possible getting all single bounds
when you have multiple selection.

Is it possible? The function active_layer.mask_bounds gives only the overall bounds back :(

Thanks.

There is only one selection per image. Please realize that the selection
is a grayscale mask. So what you call "multiple selections" are several
disconnected areas on the selection mask.

Note that you can access the selection mask as a drawable. That should
give you all the information you need.
