Getting Session Info on a different Client

I have A4D(v4) serving web pages from a 4D Client (2004).

Should I be able to get session information from a different client?
Currently I can see the plug-in commands, but they don't really return
anything for me when I try and use them.

For instance, A4D GET SESSION STATS doesn't return any values, nor
does a non-session item like A4D GET LICENSE INFO.

I've tried using these after calling A4D_Startup (and
A4D_SessionMonitor) to no avail.

Ideally I'd like to be able to know that a client is online when doing
some tasks locally.

Only if you run the code to fetch session information on the web  
serving client.
