Hello all:

Has geotiff and bigtiff been integrated? If so is anyone using any of the bigtiff
functionality? Is bigtiff stable?

regards,

West,

Bigtiff is available in the "libtiff 4 alpha" releases.  It should work
fine with libgeotiff.  I use it extensively in GDAL 1.5 and GDAL 1.5
based applications.

It is stable in the sense that it isn't prone to crashing sometimes. But
I think there are still quirks in libtiff 4 related to the substantially
overhauled tag handling mechanisms that may affect some applications.

So, the answer is it is in a bit of use, and is somewhat stable.

Best regards,
