We've made some strides in getting GeoNetwork to work with WebSphere and Oracle thanks to Steve Davies (who confirmed some of our findings and provided a URL to some source code that we needed) and thanks to the software developer that I work with. After a few preliminary tests, we have a relatively minor error showing up but otherwise everything appears to be running OK. More testing is needed and then some customization work.
