| Subject: [Audacity-help] Gemme en fil som mp3
| "I´m using Audacity 1.2.6 on an Intel iMac and have usually no
| problems saving my recordings of LP´s, tapes etc. as mp3 files for
| iTunes.
| But today I get the following "message", when I am saving my file as
| an mp3:
| "Can´t open the file for writing"!!
| Then what - I have not done anything different from what I use to do
| when I am recording analog sources!!???
If you are getting "Unable to open target file for writing" as it would be
in English, it sounds as if you may have a permissions or access problem
writing to the folder you are trying to write to. So use another folder
or drive to export to, as I suggested. In particular, don't write the file to a
folder that has (or is contained in a folder that has) a long file name or
foreign or accented characters. If you are using Export Multiple, don't put
such characters in the labels, or in the name of the files in the Track
Popdown Menu. If foreign or accented characters are the problem, you can
avoid these issues by using Audacity 1.3.3 Beta which has Unicode support.
If you want to use the stable 1.2.x version of Audacity, please use 1.2.5
which is meant for Intel Macs, not 1.2.6 which is meant for the older
Power PC architecture.
Always install Audacity by dragging the contents of the downloaded .dmg
into a folder in your Applications folder, and launching Audacity.app from
that folder.
