David's not going with y'all?  I wish I could go, but racing on mother's day weekend and staying happily married would be quite difficult to achieve.... wheels are turning on how I can still do it... suggestions?

Just do what I do, tell your wife who's the boss and tell her what going to happen this weekend, oh wait, I'm not married...that may not work for you!

Mothers day is Sunday. Race is Saturday, make a really mad dash home with the gold.  That would be the gold for her.

Hey it's really cool that you would drive all the way up north to pick up her present???

David will stay home and get ready to ship out to DC next week so he can meet President Bush.   His brother was one of our officers that was killed in the line of Duty last fall here in Odessa.  They are having several services in DC and the families are invited.

He will miss a week of training and eat a bunch of BAD BAD food so I am thinking about that TTT rematch as soon as he get's back.

Come on Tom you know you wanna race.  Bring your wife for a weekend get-away.  Antbody else?  we need some more VT blue in the peleton.

David's not doing the 300 mile ride?  We have some local officers and dps guys going on the ride to DC for one of our fallen officers.

I would love to ride, and bring the wife and child... but our future sis-in-law is graduating HSU on saturday... we are going to the drag races tonight... Git R Done!  There will be NO nascar beer consumption, though!

45+ field Lance 4th, Scott 15th.  It was a combined 35, 45, 55 field so it was a little hard to figure out just who to watch other than trying to cover every move.  Of course I am speking for Lance cause I got popped off pretty early and got hung out in no-man's land until I could hook up with a few other riders to work with.

One WINDY day for sure.  Crossing tail going out and crossing head coming back.

Good course.  I sure want to try it again next year, just without the wind.

On the way home this morning we drove over to Moriarity NM to take a look at the fastest TT course in the country.

Great job to both of you.  Don't you worry about getting ready for next year. We'll just have to let you pull a little longer on the windy rides to get you ready. I'm all for it. I'm sure no one else will fight for the spot.

I dont mind at all if they want to pull the rest of us around, that makes for a lot easier ride. Good job this weekend, lets just keep it up.

Racing at over a mile high altitude made the ride a tough one plus the 40 plus mph winds did'nt help. The race started fast with a attack within the first mile. Stayed in the front until a climb at 6 or 7 miles out knocked me off the back when another attack occurred almost at the top. Stayed focused and gathered up 3 or 4 riders that got dropped and put the hammer down in order to run down the lead break. With alot of hard work we caught the lead break just after the turn around at the halfway point. Now it was my turn with a head wind and some flat roads ahead. After resting for a few minutes me a a couple of others started pushing the pace and shook the group of 15 or so down to just six of us by the time we hit the 1 K marker. I ended up 4th in the sprint with all of us in a pile. Our average was over 21.5 mph at the finish. Just need to find a way to save more energy throughout the race and be more ready for the last 100 meters. Scott put in an awesome effort and had to run solo for alot of miles. We got seperated at the start and man did it start fast. Me and Scott were both cooked after the race but after a few (2 or 3) non nascar beers things got better quick.
