GPSBabel to UTM Coordinates?

I am using GPSBabel to convert a Garmin MapSource file to a universal CSV file so that I can use Waypoint data in a spreadsheet.
I am using UTM coordinates in MapSource, but the coordinates in the CSV file are shown as Latitude and Longitude.
I need the spreadsheet to show UTM coordinates.
Can GPSBabel do this for me?  (I am a non-programmer and am using the graphic interface of GPSBabelGUI-2.)
Peter.

it's simple. In options dialog for universal csv set the grid option "Write
posistion using this grid" to utm.

O.K.

As far as I know GPSBabel doesn't support projections, but there are
other open source libraries. For your purpose I would recommend proj.4 :
http://trac.osgeo.org/proj/
I've never tried it, but the documentation says that you can input CSV
files (with blanks or tabs instead of commas) to proj.4

Hi Adrian,

> As far as I know GPSBabel doesn't support projections, but there are

that's right. GPSBabel doesn't support projections in global manner, but we
have two formats, which supports optional projections. These are garmin_txt
and unicsv. The list of supported grids isn't very long, but sometimes it
helps :-) .

O.K.
