I'm using GIMP 2.4.4 (just installed over older GIMP) on WinXP.
I experience many crashes, one most annoying and repeateable is when I'm using scale tool (usually in %) and after scaling I'm trying to use the retangular selection tool (probably any selection too, and got crashes trying to switch to some other tools too). I can get it every time, so far I got a habit of saving a work before doing that, complementing the crash screen, loading and continuing the work. Sometimes it doesn't happen, but rarely.
I'll try to develop a 100% sure procedure for triggering that bug.
Anyone experienced this ?
P.S. I have something like that - start GIMP, open empty picture, paint anything, create retangular selection, swich to scale tool, switch to scaling in %, rescale, try to switch back to retangular selection tool - crash. When I use scaling in pixels, it doesn't happen, only when scaling in %.
I have installed a dds load/save plugin, I can try to remove it, if required. But it was not used in above example. Created empty project/picture and crashed the GIMP using scale/select tools.
P.P.S. Switching scale tool back to pixels before actually commencing rescale operation, doesn't save me from crash unfortunately... It's enough that I switch to % scaling at all, even for moment, there is a crash later.
