2. PANEURHYTHMY for first time on San Bruno Mountain

From Bulgaria, a land famous for its beautiful mountains and rich tradition
of
dance, Paneurhythmy has
made it all the way to California, where it has been practiced faithfully
since the early 1990's.
Paneurhythmy is music and dance that is spiritual practice and prayer. Its
composer from Bulgaria Peter
Deunov (Beinsa Douno), was a great spiritual teacher of the early 20th
century. Since the end of the
communist rule in Bulgaria, several thousand people gather every summer from
all over the world, high up
in the Rila Mountains, to dance together in alpine meadows

Event Price: Free. Any donation for the building of new Bulgarian church will
be
appreciated. The cost of your food is included in your donation.
Day-long event with service in the chapel at 10.00am if you wish; Tour of the
monastery;
Lecture-discussion; Bulgarian food prepared by members of The Bulgarian
Church

Kiril and Methody; The GOLDEN ICON, returning home to the monastery until May
next
year; outdoor music and dance; old games for kids and adults on the meadow in
front of
the beautiful monastery...Fun!!! And relaxation.

This is an antique and unique ritual for well - being and health with music,
stories,
candles and a vigil, blessings and music and dance again.
Preparing ritual food together and sleeping over is encouraged as it is a
main
part of the
old ritual (sleeping over in a monastery, a church or under sacred trees -
reconnecting
with God, Universe, Nature - you name it)

From Bay Area Paneurhythmy Circle: About PANEURHYTHMY and its Bulgarian link.

From Bulgaria, a land famous for its beautiful mountains and rich tradition
of
dance, Paneurhythmy, has
made it all the way to California, where it has been practiced faithfully
since the early 1990's.
Paneurhythmy is music and dance that is spiritual practice and prayer. Its
composer, Peter Deunov (Beinsa
Douno), was a great spiritual teacher of the early 20th century who died just
as Communism was about to
make his life's work dangerous. The origin of the dance is already shrouded
in mystery and legend, but
according to one wonderful story, Peter Deunov was inspired by the dance he
saw being danced by beings
of light when he ascended Mt. Moussala. Over a period of several years (c.
1920), he gave the music and
movements to his students and disciples, for their spiritual development and
well-being. After his death
(1944), disciples protected and kept it alive carefully, in secret.
Since the end of the Communist rule in Bulgaria, several thousand people
gather every summer from all
over the world, high up in the Rila Mountains, to dance together in alpine
meadows, carefully cleared of
rocks so dancers can feel the sweet earth beneath their bare feet. The dancer
aspires to balance heaven
and earth, exchanging with noetic beings, communing with nature and
harmonizing with fellow human
beings.

"Paneurhythmy is a vast science which in the future will be studied and its
knowledge fully applied
to the implementation of the Great Law - i.e. to protect peace and harmony in
human souls. For this
purpose I have placed in your hands this, the key to my Teaching. If you
dance
the Paneurhythmy
correctly, the positive forces of Nature will flow through you and connect
you
with one another, and
connect all of you with the unbounded Cosmic Circle of Great Beings."

ABOUT SAN BRUNO MOUNTAIN:
In May, we will dance for the first time on San Bruno Mountain, "a unique
open-space island in the midst
of the peninsula's urbanization." It is a very special place, home to much
that is rare and endangered,
including the beautiful Mission Blue butterfly. That it has not been
completely developed is thanks to a
group of people who have worked vigilantly for many years to protect it --
some of these people, members
of San Bruno Mountain Watch, will also be joining us for their first
experience of the Paneurhythmy.

The event is free (with donations to San Bruno Mt. Watch gratefully

but there is a $5.00 parking
fee. The picnic area is directly behind the parking lot, very near the park
entrance.
