(Only on topic, as Polaroid instant film is a vintage product with a niche following like we use.)

At least they were very up front about the termination of their product.

No one seems to mention, tho', that instant films have been picked up by Fuji,
If Kodachrome ever is discontinued, maybe Great Green will take up the manufacture.  We can only hope.  Maybe they can name it Kyotochrome and we won't have to change any Kodachrome monogrammed items we have in stock.         :-)

articles on polaroids demise did state that negotiations were underway for an unnamed (Fujifilm) company to purchase rights to produce some polaroid films.  Fuji has made one film (ProVivid or 779 pack film i believe) FOR polaroid, and Fuji has made equivalents of Spectra and 600 integral polaroid films for sometime selling abroad.  After polaroid's bankruptcy and restructure, fuji could sell their equivalents in US but havent sold much.  personally i dont hold out much hope of fuji picking up more than spectra and 600, the polaroid films retaining some popularity and use with law enforcement, prisons, medical, forensics etc.  The least likely of polaroid films to be picked up by Fuji are the large format 4x5 and 8x10.  They have been selling a lot of type 803 xray film to government since 9/11.  Personally i would/will probably miss 4x5 type 52 400 speed, type 54 polapan 100 100 speed, and the venerable type 55 positive/negative film.

Talking about Polaroid, has anyone gotten good results printing Kodachrome using one of Polaroid's "Daylab" products?  I tried and tried and was never able to get good results, although using Polaroid peel-apart film in a Polaroid camera always yielded good results for me.
