I have uploaded a setup for Windows XP 64 and Vista 64, could those of
you using one of those systems please try it and report success or failure?

I forgot about already having reported this bug, so sorry for the huge
time-lag in responding.

Meanwhile I work on version 1.5.0.2 and still experience the old
problems.

The "Whats new" (Media statistics) section is which I have issues with as
follows:

Not logged in displays Media Statistics as supposed: counting all items
sorted by "available", "modified" etc.

While logged in all these values are "0" (as I only have one (admin) user
installed)

For Login Whats New
-------------------

Check exclude current user:
Count for available items does NOT include current user (all set to
"0")

Uncheck current user:
Count for available items does NOT include current user (all set to
"0")

Do you want me to include screenshots of the config pages or any other
information I can provide?

I tested the Welcome screen summary on latest snapshot and it works
exactly as intended. I need more info from yourself on what you get and
what you expected. What I get is:

For Login Last Items List
-------------------------
Check exclude current user:
Current user items disappear from last items list

Uncheck current user:
Current user items appear from last items list

For Login Whats New
-------------------

Check exclude current user:
Count for available items does not include current user

Uncheck current user:
Count for available items does include current user

Perhaps this might be a more pervasive issues than the Current user
checkboxes. Maybe there is a misunderstanding or an implementation bug
with the timing? The Item Statistics only show items added since last
login.

I just tested that part of it too - I added an item as myself, logged out,
then logged back in. If the checkboxes are disabled it shows up as
expected.

you are absolutely right about the in-container usage. But the Plugin offers
support for JPA, see the second radio button on the configuration tab.

JPA, as shown in your example, is designed in a way that it can be used
independent from a container. Nonetheless it might be mostly used inside a
container. The Plugin offers no direct support for in-container JPA configurations.

The Hibernate Plugin doesn't make any use of the Hibernate jars we ship with
SQuirreL. The user has to add all Hibernate libraries he is using in his
application to the classpath that has to be defined in the Hibernate Plugin
configuration. The Plugin uses a special Classloader. This Classloader knows
only the standard JRE libs and the user defined classpath.

Sorry that I didn't have the time for deeper investigation but I found two hints:
1. Do you have the hibernate-entitymanager jars in your classpath defined in the
Hibernate Plugin configuration?

2. Is your persistence.xml in the subdirectory /META-INF/ of your classpath
defined in the Hibernate Plugin configuration.

Do you see any exceptions in the log? There is a "bug" that affects
some users of MS-SQL with regard to how SQuirreL quotes identifiers :

Identifiers (or catalogs in this case) with spaces, or a period (".")
in their name MUST be quoted using the quote character - which is
typically a single quote char (apostrophe - |'|). However, it appears
that on some configurations of MS-SQL (possibly also Sybase), adding
these quote characters to identifiers, results in an exception that
indicates that SQLServer couldn't locate the quoted identifier. We
will be issuing a fix in a new release for this soon (2.6.9), but
until then, you can setup different aliases that each have a different
catalog (database) in the URL. As far as filtering goes, I sometimes
add an object filter for the schema to only include "dbo" schema -
which if your user owns the database, is the default schema where
objects are found.

How to use Sugar CRM to not duplicate the work!

Dear Sirs, I am new in using Sugar CRM, however I already find it very usefully, but I do not know how to do some actions. I have to said that I used sugarCRM to help some company to recruit people to work in a company. I will try to describe my problem: 1- When some person of an account contact us, we try to find some people that fulfil their need, like a SUGAR CRM programming specialist. 2- When I find some Curriculum Vitae (CV) that I think that could interest to out client I attach it in the history of the contact account in order to know that I am going to send this CV. I attach also our quote in the History. 3- After I have select the cv and have our quote I have to send both to the account contact. I would like to send it using the email module of SUGAR CRM. But this is my problem I do not know how to get both the CV and the quote form the history and attach them both in the email. For now the only way that is to find to send the email is to get cv and the quote from my computer and attachment them in the email. Please could some one help me. Best regards, Antonio

Hmm, specifying a catalog in the connection string does seem to help!
(I can see the tables listed for it.)

However, even though I've got many other databases that this login
works for, I can't change to any other catalog besides the one I
specified the connection string. (Well, I can change to it in the
Catalog select box, but I can't browse the tables after I do so.) Is
there any easy way to enable browsing for any catalog I've got access
to?

Thanks. I didn't realize this (or see it written anywhere). Changing
the current catalog got the results I wanted.

It should probably be an enhancement - it seems wrong to let you select a
database in the tree if the results for it aren't populated. Either
SquirrelSQL should cache results for all databases, or only allow you to
select the current database.
