Formatter PlusA colleague is quoting that old pain reliever advert, "But Mother, I'd
rather do it myself!" She'd like to turn off Formatter Plus. How does one do that? Dan -- Dan Madvig Northwestern College & Radio, St. Paul, MN 651.631.5323 |

RE: Formatter PlusThere's a couple options, most used to be found in the editor options. In 9.6.1 all the options are combined and, apparently, shuffled. And I've definitely got some boning-up to do before I can give advice from 9.6.1. I note you didn't mention what version she was on.
Right-click on an editor and near the bottom is "Editing Options" or something very similar. There should be some options available (from memory) such as: auto-indent auto-case I imagine it's auto-case she'd like disabled. The "default formatting" never really did much more. To really benefit from formatting, one needs to apply the formatter rules and the only way I know of to do that is to right-click, select "Formatting Tools" and select "Format Code". In other words: manually. Wish I could help more but my piloting of 9.6.1.1 has appeared to have wiped my knowledge of the 8.x and I just realised: I have no idea where to find some things that I knew of in 8.x ;) Roger S. -----Original Message----- From: toad@... RE: Formatter PlusWhere do you want to turn it off? Toad uses it in about a dozen places.

RE: Formatter PlusHere's one location in 9.6.1.1
Options -> Editor -> Open/Save -> File loading/saving section -> Format files when opened - De-select -----Original Message----- From: toad@...
