Firefox Backspace/Delete problem

The web application I'm trying to debug is using kupu editor and it seems that there's this bug in Firefox where when trying to edit a post, backspace and delete key won't work unless you type something or press a button. I've seen some editors had this kind of problem too but fixed it already. I wonder if kupu developers already have a work around for this. Thank you very much.
