It's been years since I used Groupwise but back then FileMaker could not
send an email using it. To my knowledge that hasn't changed although
checking FileMaker Help says:
To send mail, you must have an internet connection and the following
configurations.
Windows:
- A [Mail] section in the Win.ini file.
- Microsoft Exchange or another email applications that is MAPI
compliant installed and configured properly.
Back in the day, we used to get around lack of support for Groupwise by
composing a mailto URL instead and use the OpenURL step.
