Feature Request: Reconcilliation ToolsHi Thomas, et. al.,
I have a request. I had a heck of a time balancing my checking account this month. It would be very helpful if during reconcilliation kmymoney sorted the transactions into three groups: deposits, checks and direct withdrawals. This is how bank account statements are laid out in the US. Being able to sort transactions by amount or payee would also be great. It would also be helpful if Kmymoney would provide a running total of deposits marked as cleared and withdrawals marked as cleared. This helps a lot when things don't balance. If things aren't adding up, these totals would at least give the person balancing his or her account a direction in which to head. Thanks very much for the continuing development of this outstanding program. Vaughn PS I apologize if all of the above features already exist and I'm just not seeing them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ KMyMoney2-user mailing list KMyMoney2-user@... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/kmymoney2-user |

Re: Feature Request: Reconcilliation ToolsHello Vaughn,
right click on the column headers. There you can select the sort order. You can use the default, or set one specific for reconciliation. Regards, Alvaro

Use the application settings dialog to set it application wide. BTW: the enhanced sorting is available in 0.9 and above only. > On Fri, Jul 25, 2008 at 9:42 PM, Vaughn Grisham <vaughngrisham@...>wrote: > > Hi Thomas, et. al., > > > > I have a request. I will use the column sort as Alvaro suggested for reconciliation, and revert to chronological for all other purposes. So account specific works in that regard.

Re: Feature Request: Reconcilliation ToolsYou can set different orders for Register, Reconciliation and Search View. Check the settings in Configure KMyMoney --> Ledger --> Order
And then you can set it an account-specific order. Pretty flexible.
