Dear list,

please CC my, as I did not subscribe. I tried to google through the
archive, but did not find anything.

I would like to get FastCGIExternalServer and FastCgiWrapper to work
together.

I've a fastcgi application that should run via the external server
configuration. This works fine:

    FastCGIExternalServer /docroot/bla -host 127.0.0.1:9123

unfortunately i also have (additional) dynamic (fast)cgi applications
that whould use a suecex wrappter:

    FastCgiWrapper /usr/lib/apache2/suexec2

    <VirtualHost test:80>

        SuexecUserGroup test test

    </VirtualHost>

This also works fine, and I could even start my application as a dynamic
server.

The problem is when I combine FastCGIExternalServer and FastCgiWrapper
the server tries to execute /docroot/bla:

    (2)No such file or directory: FastCGI: stat() of "/docroot/bla" failed

as the file does not exist, it fails. If the file exists it's started
as a dynamic fastcgi application.

Is there any way to get this two directives to work as expected?

BTW: I'm working with apache 2.0.54 and mod_fastcgi 2.4.2 on debian
     sarge (i386).
