FarCry FortressGeoff, I'm putting together a cost proposal for a project I've been invited to participate in. The last project I worked on in the past for this person already had an existing code base, and it wasn't in the budget to convert to a CMS. However, I've been given the green light to take this next project and run with it (no existing code, just the mock up). I've mentioned that Fortress should allow for an easier installation with it's friendlier installer. Do ya'll have a timeline on when you're going to start taging the 5.0 branch out? First public beta released today. Depending on how issue resolution goes we should have a milestone release by end of February if not earlier. We have a few production sites running with 5.0 with little or no trouble so things are pretty stable. We really need to get through and nail as many bugs as we can before releasing -- but I'd say its probably pretty good developmet platform as is today. Plus the updater from 4.0-5.0 is beautiful. A contingency might be to simply build in 4.0 and upgrade t 5.0 when you feel comfortable. -- geoff http://www.daemon.com.au/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "farcry-beta" group.
