Failure in replace operation; recovery possible?

Hi,

I tried to replace one half of a raid0 pair with a new drive, and evms
segfaulted right after it finished copying the data. Now I have a
seemingly valid md set with the new drive, but the region on this set
is gone.

In more detail: Starting with sdb1 (320GB) and sdc1 (300GB), I added a
640GB drive, partitioned it to 300GB (sdd1) and 340GB (sdd2), and then
used Replace in evms to replace sdc1 with sdd1. Evms spent 24 hours
copying data, then said something about configuring the array (I don't
have and don't remember the exact message), then segfaulted. Now evms
says the LVM PV which was on this array can't be found. The object
tree for the array (md1) shows it's using sdb1 and sdd1. I get the
same result whether the old drive (sdc) is in or out of the system.

Can anyone think of something I can do to fix this? I imagine the
actual data is still intact on sdc1 (except for the md headers) so it
would be very frustrating to have to give up on it.

Thanks, Itai
