FC and 64 bit OS install issues

We have windows 2003 server 64-bit, r2sp2, coldfusion 8.01 64-bit, SQL
2005 developer 64-bit having some configuration issues wondering about
FC's support for 64-bit and of any known issues.

Should this work?

The issue we run into is during the installation when configuring the
database, we created a new and empty database and created the DSN in
the CF admin. It says the database is not found and that we don't have
Microsoft SQL Server, when in fact we do.

Any help would be great. Thanks everyone, excited to dive into FC.

madkap,

I have the same setup on one of my development servers (all 64-bit)
and have not had any issues.  I even have it running in Win 2008 64-
bit and SQL 2008 64-bit beta with no issues.

When you say "it says the database is not found" are you referring to
the CF administrator (when you created the DSN) or are you referring
to the FarCry installer?  Also, which version of FarCry are you using?

Regards,

Hey Jeff,

The CF admin is fine, it recognizes and verifies the DSN, it is the
FarCry installer that's having issues.

Trying to install FarCry 5.0 beta.

Thanks

Ok. here's how i fixed it.

I kept clicking 'Next' every so often just for fun waiting to see if
any of you fine people could hold my hand and help me figure out a
solution. Then one time after i clicked 'next' again and it worked.
Funny enough I'm up and running and ready to explore!

Thanks AJ and Jeff for your replies.
