Example XQuery applications

Over the past few days, I've written up two more examples in the XQuery Wikibook which may be of interest. They  cover topics like httpclient, page scrapping, database update, scheduling, SMS, geocoding, charting

I've more in the pipeline but am always interested to hear what examples other would like to see and of course any views on the Wikibook in general. I fear its a bit of a playpen for my own interests!

Hello Chris,

I have an xquery article in the works, which I will donate some of the
scripts to the wikibook ... should be out in the next few weeks.

Thanks. Those are nice examples. They cover quite a few eXist features,
including badly documented things like job scheduling. Concerning the
monitoring example, I recently used the httpclient module to create some
unit tests for a web site. Maybe I can contribute a small article about
that as well.
