Error when building Embedded T2 for Powerpc64Hi All, I want to build a embedded system for powerpc64(ppc64), and got the following error when cross-compiling gcc 4.2.3: In file included from ../../gcc/config/rs6000/ppc64-fp.c:35: ../../gcc/config/fp-bit.h:100: error: unable to emulate 'TF' Someone could help me? I guess noone here used or tested uClibC with PPC64 so far. If you do not need uClibC you could either switch to dietlibc (which I know works with PowerPC64) or the regular glibc, e.g. cross build the generic T2 target. In any case I put this issue on my TODO and will review as soon as possible. I'll definitely take a closer look later today / tonight. > btw, ho can I switch to dietlibc? Either in the embedded target by selecting the dietlibc style or in most generic targets in the expert section under the system c library option. > Cheers > Lai > > --- Rene Rebe <rene@...> wrote: > >> Hi, >> >> On 08.04.2008, at 17:38, lai wei wrote: >> >>> Hi All, >>> I want to build a embedded system for >>> powerpc64(ppc64), and got the following error when >>> cross-compiling gcc 4.2.3: >>> >>> In file included from >>> ../../gcc/config/rs6000/ppc64-fp.c:35: >>> ../../gcc/config/fp-bit.h:100: error: unable to >>> emulate 'TF' >>> >>> Someone could help me? >> >> I can confirm the error, as our (ExactCODE) >> PowerPC64 production >> system just build all the last years I have the >> feeling that this is a >> uClibC related PPC64 issue.
