Hi Guys,
I just downloaded the Farcry 5 Release Candidate and the install keeps
failing during the last stage of the install. From what I got to see
of the install wizard its very sexy so congrats on the work so far!!
Anyway on to my problem...
During install when the progress bar says "farcrydemo (INITIALISING):
Fetching projects metadata" it then fails with:
"Failed to initialise core type: dmArchive.cfc"
"Element FULLNAME is undefined in STRETURNMETADATA"
My environment is:
XP Pro
IIS 6
CFMX 7.0.2 Developer (running locally)
MS SQL 2000 (running on a different machine)
IE 6 & FireFox 1.1
Here are the steps I took to try and install:
1. Uzipped the build package to the web root so it looks like /farcry
2. Created an empty MS SQL database called "farcrydemo"
3. Cretaed a DSN in the CF Admin called "farcrydemo" and verified it
3. Opened up http:/localhost/farcry/ and then followed the install
instructions.
I've tried both the standalone and sub directory install options with
the same result, tried restarting the CF service and also IIS. Also
tried recreating the database and dsn still no joy. Did I do something
wrong?
