Elementary Algebra textbookWe currently use Hubbard’s Elementary Algebra:
Discovery and Visualization and have been told that it is not going
to be revised. We are searching for a book with a similar approach; one
that integrates that TI-83, 84 substantially – not as an optional piece.
Is anyone aware of a textbook for elementary algebra I and II that integrates
the graphing technology heavily alongside an algebraic approach, i.e. solving
equations both graphically and algebraically or using the graph and table
feature to evaluate algebraic expressions or using a graphing approach to solve
linear inequalities? Please reply to jpruden@... Thank you, Joanna

RE: Elementary Algebra textbookWe just switched from Hubbard to Lehmann (Pearson).
It is more of a “reform” approach that is heavy with the calculator. Cindy From:

Re: Elementary Algebra textbookYou might try “Elementary Algebra – Graphs and Authentic Applications” by Jay Lehmann (publisher — Pearson). It’s brand new or will be coming soon. I use his Intermediate Algebra and I love that book. The Elementary has a similar approach, I think, and also comes with a set of Labs about Climate Change.
