Platform Workspace:

  - Olivier T. raised bugs against some plug-ins, pointing out that wrong types

    and methods are used

Debug:
- some bundles in the Eclipse SDK specify redundant required execution
  environments (for example, J2SE-1.3 and J2SE-1.4). If a bundle runs
  with 1.3, it should not specify 1.4. And more importantly, if it
  requires 1.4, it should not specify that it is compatible with 1.3.
  We need to understand why redundant environments are specified and
  clean up the bundle definitions (for example,

the old preferences API has been deprecated. The new API does not work
  exactly the same as the old one because it does not automatically look
  for default values if a preference has not been set, this is now an
  extra step. Not only does this require more coding but it makes it easy
  to accidentally introduce behavior changes

Rel. Eng.:
The foundation opened 20+ bugs against platform-releng as must-dos for Galileo.  In our case, they were things we already do and I closed most of them as fixed. However,  I'm not sure where to assign a few of them, such as adhering to the UI Guidelines or using Babel tools to test our strings for translation.  I'm not sure who these should be assigned to within the Eclipse project.  Suggestions?
