ERROR: Cannot load file in KMyMoney

Hi to the members of the Developer Team!
I am using KMM for almost one year under openSUSE 10.3 first and now
under open SUSE 11.0 since it was launched. Since about 2 weeks I am now
and then confronted with the following error message:

"Cannot load /.../.../myfile.kmy
File was not parsable!"

I cannot see what I have done wrong.
Fortunately I am a backup fanatic. If not I would have lost everything.
Does anybody know what might possibly cause this? And what could be done
to avoid this in future?
Thanks for the great program and the continuous progress in improving it!
Michael Berger

Version 0.9.1-CVS3.5.9 "release 49.1" openSUSE 11.0
Operating system Linux (i686) release 2.6.25-pae

Hello Michael,
can you untar the file and check it manually? See if there is anything unusual you can find, specially in the last transactions, or reports if you have customized any lately.

Regards,
Alvaro

Alvaro probably meant 'gunzip' not untar.

Additional info about the file formats can be found here:

The problem has been identified and help is under way. As long as you don't
have a new version installed, please don't customize the new 'General
Information' reports and save the customized version. Customizing and running
the report is not a problem.
